AutomationDirect has added motors designed for wash-down environments to its stepper systems product line. SureStep® IP65 rated high-torque stepping motors are completely protected from solids and dust ingress and from low pressure water jets from any direction, making them suitable for many wash-down applications. These fully sealed, single-shaft motors are available with industry-standard NEMA 17, 23, and 34 mounting flanges and provide holding torque from 61 to 1288 oz-in. The motors use 2-phase technology with 200 full steps per revolution or 1.8 degrees per full step. The new SOLO Basic from Automation Direct is a single loop temperature controller that can control heating or cooling processes. Depending on the particular model of controller, the available outputs include relay, voltage pulse or current. On some models, there are two alarm outputs available with nine selectable alarm types. New product announcement: New High-Speed I/O and Communications Expansion Modules for the BRX Micro PLC System

AutomationDirect has added high-speed I/O modules and a serial communications expansion module to its BRX Micro PLC product line. BRX expansion modules add discrete I/O, analog I/O and now high-speed I/O and communications functions as needed to expand machine and process control applications. BRX expansion modules easily snap onto the side of any BRX Micro PLC Unit (MPU).

In EasyBuilder Pro V6.02.01, Weintek added a brand new feature – “Action Trigger“. This feature allows users to pre-define a series of actions through the graphical UI of EasyBuilder Pro, eliminating the need for combining multiple objects or writing macros. Action Trigger triggers pre-defined Actions when the specified Conditions are met. New feature on Weintek cMT Series HMI: Idle Timeout Setting to Release Control Token

Control token is a feature that helps ensure system safety by preventing a screen object to be controlled by multiple cMT Viewer clients simultaneously, however, sometimes users may encounter an issue where other users are prevented from gaining operation when the token possessor, having finished their operation, does not release the control token. The new idle Timeout setting is added to address this issue. When the token possessor’s HMI remains inactive for a given time period, the control token will be released for the next user.
